Linda Huntoon
Executive Vice President – Corporate, Consumer List Brokerage

Linda began her career in Direct Marketing in the early 1980’s at Walter Karl, Inc. as an order entry clerk. She became a brokerage assistant within 5 months, and was promoted rapidly to Account Executive. In the ‘80’s she worked with a large and diversified client base and pioneered Proprietary Promotional Databases and Hotline Marketing techniques. She achieved the level of Vice President in 1988, and was instrumental in helping computerize the Walter Karl order entry program and Datacard system, both of which were among the earliest in the industry.
In 1992 she joined SpeciaLISTS, now Specialists Marketing Services, Inc. as President of their New York Brokerage Division. There she maintained her own accounts and worked with other brokers to develop theirs. She maintained that division for ten years, before joining Direct Media, Inc. in 2002.
At Direct Media she holds the title of Executive Vice President - Brokerage. She works with the Corporate Executive Team to support their broad client base, and enjoys her consultative role while prospecting, and maintaining her long-held accounts.
Linda belongs to many industry organizations including the DMA, and NEMOA. She is past Chair of the DMA List and Data Council, and a 2004 winner of the Silver Apple Award from the Direct Marketing Club of New York. She is a frequent speaker at industry events and writes for numerous trade publications.
Linda and her husband of 45 years live in Westchester County, New York. She has 4 sons and almost 7 grandchildren.

Scott R. Chilcutt

Chilcutt began his list business career in 1977 while still in high school at a letter shop. Mailing over 30 million direct response insurance offers a year, with duties that ranged from ink jet addressing to mail sorting for the bulk mail centers.
In the summer of 1980 he joined Chilcutt Direct Marketing a branch sales office of Direct Media that would later become the Outdoor List Division. During his time with the firm he worked as a brokerage assistant, headed up list management operations and then coordinated one of the first combined databases of consumer response names known as the Great Outdoor Consumer Data Bank. Expanding on his technical expertise Scott would later work with a number of catalog companies providing a full set of services from circulation and mail stream planning to response analysis.
In 1988 while looking for ways to create efficiencies in the list business operations Chilcutt started business planning for what would become mIn (Marketing Information Network) and in 1989 began operations. mIn the first company involved in the online data card business continues to provide services to the list brokerage and management business and has revolutionized the way list brokers accumulate and assemble list recommendations.
Chilcutt has been active with the DMA, List Council, and The List Leaders Group and has spoken at regional and national conferences. He enjoys cooking, fishing and golf and resides in Edmond, OK when not traveling to customer locations around the country.
About the Industry Innovation Award.
The Industry Innovation Award is given to an individual whose products, services or business practices have made a lasting and positive impact on the list and data community. The recipient has been integrally involved in creating ways for companies to be more productive and effective in serving their clients and employees.

Tim Hickman

Tim Hickman began his career path at ALC in our Data Management Division in February 2006. Tim's ability to learn and adapt quickly to our industry allowed him to move into the role of list manager on some of our top publishing files. Tim quickly immersed himself in all the details of the data and the sources that comprised his account portfolio. Tim shined, showing interest in the sales, marketing and data sides of the industry. Tim works with his list owners to maximize use of their data and educate potential new clients on what is available to help maximize their response rates . Tim will take every opportunity to try to up-sell a client on one of his managed lists or recommend another ALC property to a mailer if he thinks they would be a good fit. Tim is currently the list manager for some of ALC's top managed properties such as Readers Digest, Time Life and Highlights for Children.
In addition, Tim helps train new employees within the Data Management department at ALC. Tim continues to works closely with the Director of Operations to facilitate and optimize initiatives that create a better work flow for both ALC and their external clients. As a Senior List Manager Tim is looked up to for both support and advice among his coworkers.

Each year, members of The DMA List and Data Council honor up to three young professionals for their outstanding contributions to the list and database industry with the Ron Davis Young List Professional of the Year Award. The award is named in memory of Ron Davis, a man who dedicated himself to the list community and to helping those early in their list career understand the intricacies of the business.
